It has a main lever ruler,and a cap blade in the ruler is used as pivot.There is a mud cup with a cap on the left of main lever ruler,and there is a balance bucket witha plug on the right of main lever ruler, the plug is mainly used for rectifying the heavy(lead buttons) which is needed by the balance of lever. Consequently, do not unscrew the plug unless rectifying the instrument. There is a horizontal vesicle on the main lever above the main blade,and it shows that the lever is in a balanced situation when the horizontal vesicle is on the middle position. There is a mobilizable weight on the lever. The screw on the back of weight is used to make the weight remove smoothly on the lever groove. There is a tapped hole on the weight bottom which is used to adjust the weight's weight. Do not unscrew this tapped hole in case inaccuracy of instrument. The main lever ruler is put on the cave of adminicula,so,the ruler can sways flexibly.A support is designed on the adminicula in order to prevent the man ruler over slanted, and the main ruler can rest on this support when the instrument is not on work.

III. Pravila rada

1. Skinite poklopac šalice za blato, napunite šalicu blatom koje treba izmjeriti. Ako u blatu ima mjehurića, lagano udarajte čašom za blato dok mjehurić ne pređe preko čaše (protresite čašu za blato 25 puta ako je blato cementno.

2. Stavite čep na čašicu za blato, zavijte je što je moguće čvršće kako bi višak blata i zraka istisnuo kroz male pore u sredini čepa.

3. Obrišite blato na čepu i poluzi.

4. Postavite oštricu kape na špilju adminicule, s glavnim ravnalom poluge naslonjenim na oslonac.

5. Pomaknite vagu blizu glavne oštrice, a zatim polako pomičite vagu udesno kako bi ravnalo glavne poluge održalo ravnotežu (može se provjeriti po tome je li horizontalna vezikula na sredini).

6. Broj očitanja: kvačica koja odgovara lijevoj bočnoj liniji težine je izmjerena specifična težina blata.
